Chapters Transcript Testimonial - Vip Dev, MD Dr. Vip Dev, plastic Surgeon, describes his experience with Puraply AM and Puraply MZ. My thought process with a surgical patient uh is a certain algorithm and that algorithm that I have starts initially the same way I see a wound patient. If I'm dealing with a complex wound, that's a surgical issue. Usually one that needs aggressive debridement in the operating room. Then I'm thinking purely am because most wounds, they're going to be polymicrobial in nature and have a high biofilm. So I'm going to aggressively Debre that and then think towards the lines of a purely AM product purely am when it was first introduced to me, I thought, yeah, this is, this is very interesting when I heard about the AM part. That's what really got me because before that, I just thought, well, it's a matrix and in wound care and in surgery as a plastic surgeon, we like matrices, we like that because that's a foundation for healing. But when I heard the AM part and I heard the PHMB, I thought now we're on to something I would have never thought that we would be able to utilize a porcine type of product along with a phmb and still use in surgical practice. Now, I know that I can rely on a product that will help my patients. Well, I think purely MZ product has positioned organogenesis evenly if not a little bit higher than the competitors. Now, we have a micronized product that we can use in difficult wounds to cover a certain larger surface area with a powder like product. And then for me to utilize other modalities along with it if needed, it allows certain wounds that I may not have been able to use the purify AM product previously, what I mean by that is tunneling wounds, wounds that have a smaller area on the superficial part, but then they have deep structures that are exposed like tendons, nerves as I dispense this product into that smaller area, knowing that the tendons and uh perhaps the nerves are there, I can get this covered appropriately. Our job is to rebuild, replace form and function. And what organogenesis products allows me to do is to take that step to be able to build form and function with the right products in place.
